Will procedures be performed on the same day as the initial appointment?
Generally yes, but it depends on the procedure. BOTOX® Cosmetic, Microdermabrasion, Skin biopsies, and other minor interventions will be done at the time of the original visit. More time consuming procedures will usually be scheduled at convenient times when longer sessions are necessary. IPL, surgical procedures requiring sutures, and at times, Laser Hair Removal fall into this latter category.

What concentration of BOTOX® Cosmetic do we use?
BOTOX® Cosmetic comes from the pharmaceutical company as a solid film and must be diluted before use. Many people have the impression that the dilution represents the key to success. It does not. The most important issue involves how many units are injected. Given the same number of units injected, the specific concentration appears irrelevant. At the Cosmetic and Dermatology Center we use the most concentrated form of BOTOX® Cosmetic. The specific dilution is 100 units in each milliliter.

Remember to use sunscreen when outdoors - the best guarantee for healthy skin.
